Scenic City/Outdoor Chattanooga Racing
The Scenic City Velo/Outdoor Chattanooga Cycling road team won the 2005 Tennessee Bicycle Racing Association title and took 13 medals, including six golds, in the state road and criterium championships.  Team members A.J. Meyer, Cary Brown, Durwood Higgins and Joe Fulton won individual season championships.  Outdoor Chattanooga cyclists have been in more than 500 races in 11 states, including the national championships, since the team began competing in March. 
Brad Price won the Masters 30-plus state road race, with teammates Steve Carpenter and Jay Westbrook also in the top 10, while Higgins won the Masters 60-plus and Meyer won the Junior 14-16 division.  Rick Watson was third and Joe Fulton also in the top 10 in Masters 50-plus, and Jason Els and Tyler Tipton were second and third in Junior 10-12.
Cary Brown made the Women 1-3 top 10.  In the omnium competition, Carpenter and Price were first and second in Masters 30-plus, Meyer won Junior 13-14 and Els was second in 10-12.  In criterium, Carpenter, David Talbot (Junior 15-16) and Meyer won gold medals, Grant Schlisner and Jeff Ingle earned silver, Els earned bronze and Price, Marshall Martin, Steve Lewis, Fulton, Higgins and Brown were other top 10 finishers. 
In individual time trials, Kevin Richardson (Masters 40-plus), Watson and Talbot (Category 3) won gold, Carpenter, Ralph Schmook and Martin got silver and Andy Meyer, Matt McAffee and Els got bronze.
